Nunes -vs- Schiff

“I want nothing. I want nothing. I want no Quid Pro Quo.” – President Donald J. Trump

Well, given Trump’s rather disreputable sexual harassment allegations, perhaps he is more versed in the phrase tit for tat. Whether it’s the use of the legal term or the colloquialism, bribery is at the heart and soul (however dark his might be) of the debate. Politicians, known for their mastery of wordsmithing, have been dancing a well-choreographed Pasodoble arguing the ethics and behavior of our 45th president. However, someone needs to clean out the Oval Office’s closet. Our 33rd President, Harry S. Truman made space on The Resolute Deck in order to accommodate a sign that reminded him of the great power and responsibility he held as president. The iconic sign read, “The Buck Stops Here.” Perhaps that would be a good reminder for Trump to own the responsibility of his decisions.

Are you hearing this?

Since the whistle was blown, seems like everyone needs a safety whistle around Trump, the Republicans have continually moved the proverbial goal-post in efforts to evade allegations that could lead to the potential impeachment of President Trump. While Nunes refers to this as a “carousel of allegations,” he fails to see that all charges aren’t necessarily mutually exclusive. After two weeks of hearings, we are now down to less than three months before the first primary votes in which President Trump will be running for re-election.

As we head into the Thanksgiving holiday next week, let’s all take the time to stop and be thankful. I’ll bring the pie but only if you bring the candied yams!
